Heat Free Hair Styling: How to Curl Your Hair Using a Sock
Who would have thought that your average,
run-of-the-mill sock could have the ability to create beautiful, flowing waves in your hair. But ladies, it’s true. Follow these simple steps and you’re well on your way for heat-free, easy-on-your-hair curls!
-
Cut the toe from your sock using a pair of scissors.
-
Roll the sock in an outward motion until it looks like a donut.
-
Sweep your dry hair into a super high ponytail. For maximum height, try flipping your head over so you can more easily gather all of your hair on top of your head. Secure hair with an elastic.
-
Mist the hair in your ponytail with water. Do not soak your hair, but merely dampen it.
-
Place your ponytail through the middle of your sock-donut. Your sock should start at the tip of your ponytail, so you can begin tucking your hair under and around the sock.
-
Spread your hair all around the sock and continue rolling the hair-covered sock until you reach your head.
-
Leave the sock bun in your hair while you sleep through the night.
-
In the morning, gently remove your hair from your bun and you should have a head of soft, beautiful curls.
